Summer on the coast: when to book your taxi in advance

When it helps to plan ahead

Demand for taxis can rise on summer weekends, public holidays and when large events finish. During Klaipėda’s Sea Festival or concerts, road closures can also affect the route. A car may not be able to reach the venue entrance.

If you already know your travel plans, get in touch beforehand. This is particularly useful for airport and ferry transfers, weddings or journeys with extra luggage. We’ll confirm availability and a pickup time once we have discussed the details.

Choose a meeting point that is easy to find

It can be difficult for a driver to spot you in a crowd or beside a closed street. A nearby place with legal access and space to stop safely is easier: a hotel entrance, a street corner or another clear landmark.

Give us the address and share a location link if helpful. Keep your phone within reach and let us know if your plans change. If you are travelling with children or someone with limited mobility, mention that when choosing the meeting point.

Leave more time for the drive

Traffic, roadworks and events can make the journey between Klaipėda and Palanga longer than usual. If you have a flight or ferry check-in to catch, allow some time beyond the navigation app’s estimate.

When booking, tell us when you need to arrive as well as when you would like to leave. If you are heading home after a concert, discuss what to do if the event runs late.

• Whether you need a child seat and whether one is available for your trip.
• Whether you need a one-way journey or would like to arrange the return as well.
