Getting to Palanga Airport: when to leave and what to arrange

Start with your arrival time at the terminal

Palanga Airport recommends arriving around two hours before your flight. That leaves time to drop off your luggage, go through security and reach the gate. Check your airline’s message for the exact check-in and boarding deadlines.

Checking in online saves a step, but you still need to clear security and reach the gate before it closes. Travelling with just a backpack is a convenience, rather than a reason to leave everything until the last minute.

Allow enough time for the drive

As a rough guide, allow about 30–45 minutes from Klaipėda to Palanga Airport and about 15–20 minutes from Palanga. Your starting address, traffic and weather will affect the actual journey time.

Add a buffer to the drive itself. You may need more time on summer weekends, during events or when roads are icy. Tell us your flight time when you book, and we can discuss a sensible departure time.

Arrange an early pickup the day before

If you need to leave before dawn, it helps to settle the details in advance. Give us the full address and the correct apartment entrance or hotel door. If access to the courtyard is restricted, let us know where the driver can stop.

• Tell us how many passengers and suitcases there will be, including larger items such as a pushchair.
• If you need a child seat, tell us the child’s age and arrange availability when booking.
• Leave a phone number where we can reach you on the morning of the trip.

Return pickups and other airports

For a return pickup, give us your flight number and arrival date. We’ll agree on a meeting point and how to contact each other once you leave the terminal. If you learn that your flight is delayed, let us know as soon as possible so we can discuss the available options.
